In or out with sawn timber and lumber
Whether you are exporting or importing sawn timber or lumber, pulpwood or chips, you will find effective handling at the Port of Uddevalla.
60,000 m3 of sawn lumber goes through the dock per year, coming from Bohuslän, Dalsland, Västergötland and Småland or in country, plus 15,000 m3 of sawn goods – and these exports are growing. 20,000 m3 of wood chips come in to the thermal power plants, which is steadily increasing their imports.
The terminal loads your lumber from trucks to trains for further transport by ship. A significant storage area and a loading capacity of up to 150m3/hr means the work goes smoothly.
Your sawn goods can be received by truck or train, are unloaded by forklifts and loaded at a rate of 150-270m3/hr depending on the ship.
The trucks and cranes are, of course, suited to the work with, for example, lumber grippers and special grippers. We are constantly developing our handling technology.
