Waste delivery receipt

In Port of Uddevalla, garbage from vessels is sorted according IMO standards. The vessel is responsible for all additional costs incurred in the case of unsorted waste.

Vessels are required to separate garbage in accordance with IMO standards.

We have receptacles for the following:

  1. A-Plastics
  2. B-Food Waste
  3. C+E+F Domestic, incinerator, operational & oily rags
  4. Metal
  5. Glass

Glass and metal are optional, but highly appreciated as it isn't a IMO requirement.

Categories D - Cooking oil & I - E waste can be disposed of as well. Please contact the terminal, via the agent, to arrange for disposal.

Failure to comply with the above separation of garbage will result in a fine. Littering around the garbage stations will also result in a fine. The size of the fine will be determined by the time spent by the port terminal for fixing the issue at hand.

All vessels are encouraged to throw all garbage accumulated since the last port call. All vessels are required to report via the agent and Maritime Single Window the amount of garbage to be disposed of as well as the last port of disposal. All such reports are to be truthful an inspection of the garbage record may occur. In case of deviances reports to the Swedish Port state may be considered.

For safety reasons, garbage disposal is limited when cranes are loading/discharging cargo. Ask the foreman for permission. Under no circumstances is it allowed to walk underneath the crane operational are when in use.

Location of garbage stations:

  • Skeppsholmspiren - located close to berth 52. There is a trolley available for transporting the garbage from the ships side to the garbage station.
  • Sörvik - located close to berth D7. There is a trolley available for transporting the garbage from the ships side to the garbage station.
  • Fröland - located close to berth 62.
